Helping our students find the right path...

In my last post I discussed the way that Satan attacks our children and desires to drive them away from the Truth of God’s Word. Satan wants to alter their view of the world to get them to perceive the world through a lens that is the opposite of what God desires for His followers. Satan’s path through life leads to heartbreak, pain, bitterness and isolation. While God’s path leads to love, freedom, forgiveness and fellowship. As parents and educators, the path we would choose for our children is obvious, a path directed by the Word, that is from God. It is our responsibility to help guide the children God has placed in our lives along that God directed path. A life following God is the only way our children can be assured of peace and good. Romans 8:28 tells us that all things work for the good of those who love God and that have been called according to His purpose. (An often-misrepresented verse but we will not get into that today) We should want God’s good for all our children and students. That will only come if they are on a path of that leads them toward God and God’s will.  So that is what we do, we point them toward God and away from the evil of the world. 

This is what Biblical Worldview education is all about. At Crossway Christian Academy we work every day to make the Word of God the most important thing we teach. We want to come along side parents to help students build a solid biblical foundation to fend off the attacks of the world that are devised by the devil. We want to create a school environment that reinforces the Biblical teaching that they are receiving at church and at home. We want our students to be prepared to go into the world and not only fight off the attacks but literally be a part of “Changing the World for Christ”! 



That is our vison. In nine years, we will graduate the first graduates of CCA. When they walk across the stage we desire for them to view the world through the appropriate God made lens. So that they can go out and impact others in the same way we have impacted them. That they fulfill the great commission in teaching and leading others to find the path that God has for them.
